This is the equity box.
The Equity Box is a confidential form for reporting violations of our zero-tolerance policy.
The Washington Society has a zero-tolerance policy (ZTP) for sexual harassment, assault, hate speech, and other malicious actions of any kind. The ZTP extends beyond meetings and covers all Washington Society affiliated events such as book club, parties, social events and any other event put on by the Society. If you have been harassed or discriminated against, have witnessed harassment or discrimination, or have issues of this kind, please report them to the Equity Box.
Once a submission is made, three things will happen. First, the President will immediately receive a message. Then, the President will evaluate next steps, which could include discussion among elected officers. Finally, the President will take requisite corrective action on behalf of the Society. All equity box submissions will be investigated.
For concerns that fall outside the Zero Tolerance, you should use the Contact Form. This form also links directly to the President’s inbox, but is better suited for general feedback or concerns about controversial or explicit material that made you uncomfortable but do not need an investigation. Some submissions may be read at Officer Corps if they pertain to the general organization and culture of the society. Only content will be discussed and submissions will remain completely confidential. Members and Provisionals are also more than welcome to reach out to our current President directly.
If the incident you are reporting is an emergency, please call 911. Additionally, we encourage you to take advantage of the following support resources:
